New! Teen Book Clubmeets March 13, 2008 at 3:15 to read and discuss "Chew on This " by Eric Schlosser.
Copies of the book are available in the Children's Room.
We welcome your thoughts on programs during the school year, and are trying to form a Teen Advisory Committee to help create and plan workshops and events that would be interesting to middle and high-schoolers. If you are interested in being a part of such a committee, please email to Helen's attention at the library : milnebooks@gmail.com. The commitment would not take too much of your time, but would give us your valuable input in trying to make the library a relevant and attractive place for teens. We would probably hold the first meeting in late September or early October, after you are all settled in at school.
Also needed: Teen volunteers to help with library shelving in the children's room --- a commitment of one hour a week would be great, and you can choose the time. You could inquire at your school if this could be credited as community service. Again, contact Helen by email, or call 458-5369 if you are interested.
