Getting a Library Card
Massachusetts residents can obtain a library card at the Milne Public Library. However, patrons are only allowed to have one CWMARS library card (Central/Western Massachusetts Regional System – a library cooperative to which we, and many other libraries belong), so if you have a library card from another CWMARS library in Massachusetts, you can just use that. No need to obtain a second card if you’ve moved to Williamstown.
If you do not have a library card from any of the CWMARS libraries, all we will need in order to issue you a Milne Library card is proof of local residence. This can be a driver’s license, a utility bill or copy of a lease showing your local address, or a letter from your employer if you are part of an internship at one of our local farms.
Out of state residents who would like to use the Williamstown Milne Public Library, can learn about our Out of State Policy and fees by clicking on this link.
If you still have questions about obtaining a library card, feel free to submit them via our contact form on this website, or call us at 413-458-5369. We’re happy to help.
The Milne Library is now happy to offer our community online library card registration! Especially important during this time of sheltering at home. And we know many of you are just learning about all the films, television, books, and magazines you can access as a library patrons via the internet!
