I

My little old dog:

A heart-beat

At my feet.

II Spring

A winter wind,

Primroses,

And the new furrow.

III Friendship

The silence of midnight,

A dying fire,

And the best unsaid....

excerpt from "Lyrical Epigrams" by Edith Wharton

Poetry Readings in April!

Wednesday, April 15th 6:00 pm

Tuesday, April 28th at 5:30

The Milne Public Library is also celebrating National Poetry Month with our yearly Poetry Month Challenge. This year's challenge is to create an ACROSTIC POEM. An acrostic poem is a poem in which certain letters of each line combine to spell out a word when read vertically. These poems can be about anything-your favorite animal, a food you love, a time of day. Stop by to pick up a packet with examples and a guide for creating your poem. All poems returned by May 1st will be entered to win a $30 gift card to a local business in the following catergories: Adults (19+), Teens (13-18), and Children (12 & under). Packets available in the Children's Room, Circulation Desk, Teen Room, and in Spanish in the front lobby.

Deadline to return entries is April 30, 2026!

The level design plays a key role in Stickman Hook Game shaping this experience. Each stage is carefully crafted to test different aspects of your control, from timing precise releases to navigating complex patterns of hooks.

I’ve been playing Drive Mad for a few days now, and it’s surprisingly addictive. The physics feel unpredictable in a good way, so every level forces you to rethink how you approach speed and balance.
