The book bingo cards have been returned and tallied and our many voracious readers have been alerted that their prizes are waiting for them here in the library. Way to go, Milne Library patrons! Although, this year's participants were not just enthusiastic readers - they also listened to books, cooked from cookbooks, watched book-based movies, wrote book reviews, and/or attended library programs. This year, a bit less reading was expected to add some variety to the bingo game, but every activity was related to books, authors and reading.

Impressively, of the 34 cards that were returned, 16 of them were completely filled! This is a big jump from previous years, and the staff at the Milne are duly impressed by this feat of accomplishment. (A big shout-out goes to Dana Pilson, who has filled 2 or even 3 cards every summer since Book Bingo began!!)
And of those cards that weren't entirely filled, almost all were very close! So we're impressed with all of you, enjoy seeing how you've interacted with books this year, and thank all of you who brought your bingo cards in. All of the cards are now publicly visible (anonymously) here in the building, next to the glass display case!
I've shared some interesting titles and their categories below:
Books about animals or one with an animal on the cover:
Read and make a recipe from a new-to-you cookbook:
Book that's been banned or about book banning:
Your idea of a "beach read" (= pure pleasure):

I came across spin mama in a Telegram group dedicated to gambling discussions around the world. Everyone there praised its responsive support and diverse games. Out of curiosity, I joined and played some roulette and blackjack. It felt authentic and stress-free, with smooth gameplay even on mobile. I didn’t expect to enjoy it this much — now it’s bookmarked on my phone.
What an incredible response rate for Book Bingo 2025! Reading is my ultimate form of relaxation, and I enjoy discovering new methods to connect with books, but my engineering program has recently left no time for leisure reading at all. To regain the hours I need to finally fill my own book bingo card, I've understood that having an expert do my online Mathematics exam for me will ensure my marks while freeing up my evenings for the literary escape I desperately need.
Love seeing how your community engages with reading in so many creative ways! For athletes, books can be just as motivating as they are entertaining. If you’re looking for the best book for swimmers, there are some incredible titles and audiobooks out there that blend technique, personal stories, and inspiration — perfect for fueling both the mind and body before hitting the pool.
