Manga is a style of comic or graphic novel that originated in Japan, and has seen a great increase in sales and popularity in the USA. It is known for its detailed black-and-white artwork, and many popular stories that are adapted into animation (anime).
As with any form of storytelling, manga represents a huge variety of reading experiences - from the light and breezy misadventures of Hakumei & Mikochi, to the emotional story of life, death and mental health explored in Orange.
