We've launched a monthly spice club! This passive program allows patrons to try a new spice every month. Venture to a new country to learn the spice's origins, process, tasting notes, and what it pairs well with.

In addition to learning about the spice, you'll have the opportunity to try it using a recipe and helpful cooking tips. We also want you to share your creation and thoughts about the monthly spice and recipe.

Spices have been generously donated by @burlapandbarrel

Join Remedy Hall and the Milne Public Library for our annual Spring Chicken Trot, Saturday, April 4th at 11:00 a.m. - an egg hunt across the library grounds! Search high and low for colorful eggs filled with sweet treats and surprises. Don’t forget to bring your own basket (or anything you can carry your eggs in).

And the fun doesn’t stop there. We’re excited to share that there will be a special storytime, followed by a hands-on craft for kids and families to enjoy together.

We’re also thrilled to welcome special community guests this year:
🚒 Our local Fire Department - climb aboard and explore a real fire truck!
🚓 The Police Department and K9 Unit - stop by and say hello!
🌿 Rural Lands - they'll have a fun, hands-on game and craft that explores the fascinating world of eggs.

We now have felt bird kits to take home throughout the rest of March and into April!

On Saturday, March 21st we hosted a community art workshop where patrons got the chance to make a felted bird square. The goal is to create a unique community art installation, displayed for all to enjoy.

There are different bird squares you can make like a nuthatch, robin, pileated woodpecker, and more! You can also grab extra materials to personalize your creation. Stop in the library to get a kit today.

This event is one of numerous Flight Path programs, an initiative the library is participating in through the Spring.

Find organic seeds of all kinds that you can take with you to grow vegetables, herbs, flowers and fruit.

Keep a look out for your BRTA buses and mark your calendars. We’re hosting a Cultural Showcase this spring on Saturday, May 30th, 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.! 🌸🌎

The library received a Mass Cultural Council grant to support this event, which is designed to celebrate the rich cultural backgrounds represented in Williamstown and across Berkshire County.

Our goal is to create a welcoming space for connection and learning through food, art, language, music, storytelling, and cultural traditions.

The Flight Path program is an initiative of Spark of Science@ My Library With the goal of sparking curiosity about science and creating a deeper understanding of how science can improve human health and the health of our planet.

Our Flight Path Program has launched! As a part of this initiative, we have planned, scheduled and created bird-related programs, activities, displays, and added birding tools, games and other bird-ish items to our Thingdom!

Join Tamarack Hollow and Berkshire African Dance & Drum Collective (BADD) Collective for two dance, drumming, and music workshops Saturday, February 14th.

At 12:15 p.m. Tamarack Hollow will lead an intergenerational, interactive and hands-on drumming and singing experience rooted in folkloric West Africa and Caribbean music. Participants will play on traditional percussion instruments and learn songs in various languages and the cultural context of the music.

At 1:30 p.m., join Sister Noel for an engaging workshop that invites everyone to explore the rich rhythms, movements, and songs of African and Caribbean traditions. Discover how rhythm, music, and storytelling work together to build community and express joy.

Together we’ll explore what happens when randomness gets woven into a book structure through the creation of a small, stitched pamphlet booklet with a pocket—a humble form that leaves plenty of room for surprise.

You will observe the process of carving stamps out of corks and learn about the many uses of block printing on textiles.
